At just 15 years old, Spencer Etherington is a driven and inspiring young footballer with an exceptional attitude, unwavering professionalism, and a clear determination to succeed. While playing for his local grassroots club, Spencer’s talent was quickly recognised by BALLERXSCOUT, who saw the potential in his game.

I was with Wigan Athletic for years, but after being released, I was at a crossroads. I knew I had the ability, but I was unsure where my next step would take me. I started working with BallerXScout to get more exposure and find the right club — whether that was in non-league or another professional team.

I had never been in an academy before, and at 15, I was still playing for a grassroots team in Bolton. But BallerXScout saw something in me that no one else had. After attending a Top Baller event in Manchester, I was spotted by BallerXScout and, from there, everything changed. They believed in me, even though I had no academy experience.
