“I was with Wigan Athletic for years, but after being released, I was at a crossroads. I knew I had the ability, but I was unsure where my next step would take me. I had never been in an academy before, and at 15, I was still playing for a grassroots team in Bolton. But BallerXScout saw something in me that no one else had. However, after a solid performance in a game against Everton FC, the Premier League club took notice and contacted Preston. They invited me for a trial, and after impressing, I was offered a 2-year scholarship.
